Pat Bailey Nichols was born July 1, 1938 in Randolph, TX to parents Jess Alvin Nichols and Allie (Barker) Nichols. He married Sue Nichols on February 14, 2003. He was a heavy equipment operator by profession and worked construction in the Dallas area.
Pat was preceded in death by brothers Joe Nichols, Ronnie "Boots" Nichols, sisters Reba Chandler, Betty Renfro, Nancy Nichols and Carolyn Nichols.
Mr. Nichols is survived by his wife Sue of the home; son, Scott Nichols of Denton, TX, daughter and son-in-law Sheree and Jim Duncan of North Richland Hills, TX; step-sons, Shawn Odom, Samuel Odom, Stryker Odom; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; 8 step grandchildren; brothers, Jerry Nichols of Bonham, Larry D. Nichols of North Carolina, Perry Nichols of Center, TX; sisters, Mitzie Wallace of Sherman, Hannah Sue Hicks of Houston, Dorothy Lake, Wanda DeJarnet of Gunter, TX, and life-long friends James and Elaine Watson of Ivanhoe, TX.
Pat was a Master Mason of Lodge 288 in Grapevine, TX. He loved to hunt with good friends at Ft. Stockton, TX and loved all outdoor activities. He could build anything he set his mind to and was good at "Nicholizing" projects. He was a graduate of Dodd City High School. He was the president of the Golden Triangle Saddle Club and loved his family and liked to spend as much time with them as possible. He never met a stranger and when saying goodbye on the phone he would always say "stay out of trouble".
