Funeral services will be conducted Saturday in the Freewill Baptist Church at 2 p.m. with Rev. Virgil Smith and Rev. Donald Baldwin officiating.
Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens of Princeton.
Born June 18, 1897 at Clarks Gap, he was a son of the late Joseph Elijah and Nancy Burton Belcher. He died Tuesday at his home following a short illness.
He was a retired coal miner and had resided in Coaldale most of his life. He was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church of Coaldale and a member of the UMWA Local 5997.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bertha Belcher; nine daughters, Mrs. Ray Belcher and Mrs. Glen Bowling of Coaldale, Mrs. Jack King of North Tazewell, Mrs. Wilburn Miller of Christiansburg, Va., Mrs. Hallis Cutchins of Portsmouth, Va., Mrs. Donald Terry of Milwaukee, Wi., Mrs Robert Carter of Brentwood, N.J., Mrs. Anderson Caughron and Mrs. Jack Moneypenny of Germany.
Other survivors include one brother, Andrew Belcher of Rupert and one foster sister, Mrs. Myrtle Hodge of Montcalm; 25 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers: Charlie and Howard Davidson, Opal Janes, Clarence and Albert Brown, Eck Belcher. Members of the Church Bible Class will carry flowers.
The body will be taken from Cravens Funeral Home in Bluewell to the residence at 11 a.m. Friday and to the church one hour prior to the service.
