Mrs. Barton was born July 12, 1922 in Maryneal, Texas to Jess and Edna Jennings. She was a resident of Fabens for 53 years where over the years she owned and operated Barton Texaco, Fabens Motel and the Henny Penny Restaurant. She was also a homemaker and married Raymond Barton in October of 1944.
She is survived by her sons, Dan, Gary and Barry; sister, Wilma; twin sister, Lela; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Leta was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Edna Jennings; daughter, Karen; sister, Joyce; brother, Willfred; and her husband, Raymond Barton.
