DAVENPORT - Funeral services and a Mass of Christian Burial for Adrienne E. Corsiglia, 36, a resident of Davenport, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at Christ the King Chapel on the campus of St. Ambrose University, Davenport. Burial will take place in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 3:30 until 8 p.m. at the Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home, downtown Davenport.

Adrienne died suddenly and unexpectedly at home on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, due to a heart condition.

Adrienne Elizabeth Striegel was born on Nov. 14, 1976, in Davenport, a daughter of Gordon and Maryann (Bribriesco) Striegel. She graduated from St. Ambrose University in 2000 with a degree in early childhood special education.

She was united in marriage to Michael Corsiglia on April 24, 2010, at Christ the King Chapel at St. Ambrose University, Davenport. From this union, a son, Samuel Thomas, was born. Samuel, who is 16 months, brought an abundance of joy and happiness to Adrienne's life. She was an extraordinarily loving wife and caring mother, and her world revolved around her family.

Adrienne was a kindergarten teacher at Adams Elementary School for the Davenport Community School District. She was a devoted teacher who made a significant impact on the lives of her students.

She was also a wonderful cook and loved to bake. Adrienne decorated many cakes and cookies and shared this talent with those she knew and loved.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to an education fund for her son, Samuel Thomas Corsiglia.

Survivors include her husband, Michael, and son, Samuel, Davenport; her parents, Gordon and Maryann Striegel, Au Train, Mich.; a sister and brother-in-law, Amanda and Ronald Winckler II, DeWitt, Iowa; grandfather, Thomas Bribriesco, Davenport; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tom and Diana Corsiglia, Bettendorf; a brother-in-law, Tony (Lisa Roller) Corsiglia, Davenport; nephews, Julian Winckler and Michael Corsiglia; uncles and aunts, Tom (Laurie) Bribriesco, Davenport; Jean (Richard) Duncan, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and Jack Striegel, Texas; and many other extended loving family members.

Adrienne was preceded in death by her grandparents, Betty Bribriesco and Marie and Edward Striegel; an aunt, Judith Marberry; and an uncle, Tim Bribriesco. May they rest in peace.
