Musician. Drummer for the influencial 1960s rock band, Jefferson Airplane. He was a nephew of legendary film pioneer/comedian Charlie Chaplin. Throughout much of the 1970s, he played drums with the country-rock band New Riders of the Purple Sage. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996 (as a member of Jefferson Airplane).
