ROSE P. GRIMES TAKEN BY DEATH
Mrs. Rose P. Grimes, 72, member of a family long prominent in Tacoma, and widow of the Rev. Charles Ysla Grimes, for many years rector of Trinity parish, now Christ Episcopal church, died in Minneapolis Thursday night.
Mrs. Grimes left Tacoma some years ago to make her home in Minneapolis, where her two daughters live. For about 12 years following the death of her husband Mrs. Grimes was employed at the Pierce county courthouse as Superior court clerk, first in the court of Judge W. D. Askren and later with Judge Fred G. Remann.
Mrs. Grimes is survived by a son, Charles P. Grimes, and attorney in New York city, and daughters, Mrs. Charles J. (Margaret) Kelly Jr. and Mrs. Nathan C. (Nancy) Plimpton, both of Wayzata, Minn.
Services were held in Minneapolis this Saturday. Burial will be in Tacoma.
