Mrs. Bernice J. (Grudis) Clark, 93, of Peru, passed away Saturday evening, January 5, 2013 at Heritage Manor in Peru.

Private graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Valley Memorial Park in Spring Valley. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mueller Funeral Home in Peru.

Mrs. Clark was born June 3, 1919 in Spring Valley to Joseph and Susanna (Dochkus) Grudis. She married Darwin Clark on August 30, 1941 in St. Louis, MO.

Mrs. Clark was a graduate of Hall Township High School. She farmed with her husband until their retirement when they moved to Peru. She was a homemaker and worked as a custodian for Dimmick Schools. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in Peru and served as a LaSalle County election judge for many years.

Survivors include her son, Norm (Rose Marie Lynch) Clark of Peru; two grandchildren, Bradley Clark and Scott Clark; great-grandchildren; one niece and five nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Darwin on September 9, 1994; her parents and three sisters.

Memorial donations may be directed to family for a memorial to be established at a later date.
