Norma K. Trott of International Falls, Minnesota died Tuesday morning, June 19, 2007 at the Falls Good Samaritan Center. Norma was 86 years of age.
Norma was born on June 7, 1921 in International Falls, Minnesota. She and Ross moved to Hammond, Indiana in 1971. In 1982 they moved back to the Falls where she stayed for the remainder of her life. Formerly Norma K. Monrean, she was united in marriage to Ross Trott on August 10th, 1941.
Norma worked for Pearson's Bakery in International Falls then in the ship yards out west and in the cafeteria of the Hammond School District. She later worked at a hair salon in East Chicago, Indiana.
Norma enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, crafts and embroidery and creating hair pin lace and playing bingo with her friends. She was a member of a sewing club and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church and Mission circle in the Falls.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Grover and Delia (Ogren) Monrean, her husband Ross and infant sons John and Russell, her sister Emelyn Pelland and her 4 brothers; Fred, Mernsey, Audrey and Jack Monrean.
Norma is survived by her three sons; Don (Joani) Trott of Beldin, Ms, Roger (Jennie) Trott of Nettleton, Ms, and Larry Trott of International Falls, Mn. Daughter Joyce (Darrel) Scott of Fort Frances, Ontario and step-daughter Ramona (Carl) Solomon of Whitwell, Tennessee, 14 grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 4 step-great-grandchildren, sister Helen (Einar) Palm of Columbia, MS and sister's-in-law Mary Monrean of the Falls and Lorraine Enos of Umitilla, Oregon.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 22, 2007 at the Evangelical Covenant Church in International Falls, Minnesota with Pastor David Smith officiating. Service will begin at 10 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior to service. Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery, International Falls, MN.
