James Charlie “J.C.” Arles

TISHOMINGO – Services for James Charlie “J.C.” Arles, 63, were held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Assembly of God Church in Tishomingo. Interment followed at Tishomingo City Cemetery.

Born March 15, 1932 in Boswell, Okla. to R. L. and Susie (Vert) Arles, Mr. Arles died July 19, 1995, in Oklahoma City.

Mr. Arles married Annie Lee Wallace August 26, 1953 at Sayre, Okla. He lived in Johnston County most of his life. He was retired from fence construction and hauling hay.

Mr. Arles was preceded in death by one brother, Floyd Arles.

Survivors include wife of the home; one daughter, Brenda Green, Tishomingo; two sons, James Arles, Coleman, and Wayne Arles, Tishomingo; five grandchildren, David and Missy Green, Annie and Josh Arles and Charlie Arles; three brothers Billy Ray Arles, Randelett, Joe Arles, Sulphur, and Alex Arles, Roff; four sisters, Christen Rowland, Fittstown, Leona Robinson, Randelett, Leoma Schollard, Connverville; and his step-sister Edna Lewis, Dallas.

Serving as bearers are Howard Culp, Charlie O’Dell, James Nelson, Tony Anthony, Ray Billings, Charlie Locke and Bill Miller

Services were under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
