Michael Glen Honts, 57, Rock Island, passed away Tuesday November 2, 2010, at Trinity Hospital in Rock Island. Funeral Service will be 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 4, 2010, Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Burial will take place in Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in his name. Michael was born on February 1, 1953, in Muscatine, the son of Dale S. and Beverly A. McGrew Honts. He had retired from Roadway Express. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, horseshoes, pool and NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt, Sr. He will be deeply missed by a son, Lee Honts of Davenport, Iowa; two grandsons, Tyler and Logan Honts; three brothers, Kenneth Honts and wife, Sandi, of New Boston, Rickey Honts and wife, Giulia, of Fruitland, and Jon Honts and wife, Robin, of Muscatine; and friends, Faye of Davenport, Iowa, and Therese of Rock Island. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Dale Honts, Jr. and a sister, Shirley Harris.
