ALEXANDER, HELEN M. nee Baker
Age 94. Formerly of Route 53 and Romeo Road, Lockport. Died September 21, 1972 at the Broadway Nursing Home. Born June 2, 1878 in Manhattan, IL. She has been a lifelong resident of Will County. Preceded in death by her parents, John C. and Mary Hopkins Baker; her husband, Healy H. Alexander (1950); a daughter, Elizabeth Troxel; 2 brothers, Robert and Cuyler Baker. Survived by 4 daughters, Mrs. Irving (Mary) Nelson of Boulder, CO; Mrs. James (Margaret) Eaton of Hatboro, PA; Mrs. Kenneth (Caroline) Emery of Falmouth, MA; Mrs. Gilbert (Ruth) Durrer of Joliet; 3 sons, James of Plainfield; John of Delta, CO; and Hayes of Montrose, CO; 20 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren. Remains are at the Rockdale Funeral Home where services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. with Father Stanley Corklin officiating. Interment Alexander Cemetery, Romeoville. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday.
