Dr. PATRICK McCORMACK
RUTLAND - Dr. Patrick F. McCormack, 39, died Monday at his home in Wayne, Pa., after a long illness. His widow is the former Patricia W. Maloney of Bennington.
He was born in West Rutland, Aug 24, 1925, son of Irene (Routier) McCormack and the late Patrick P. McCormack.
He wss a graduate of Holy Cross College and the University of Vermont medical school. A World War II veteran, he served following the war with the Albany, N.Y., Veterans Hospital for eight years, and for the past four years was associate director in the Philadelphia, Pa., office of the North American Insurance Co.
He was a member of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Cardiology.
Surviving is his wife; two sons, Patrick and James; four daughters, the Misses Maura, Sheila, Erin and Shavaun McCormack, all of Wayne; his mother, Mrs. Irene McCormack of West Rutland; three brothers, Edmund of Wilmington, John of New Haven, Conn., and Thomas of Rutland; six sisters, Miss Patricia McCormack of Long Island, N.Y., Mrs. Thomas McGann of West Rutland, Mrs. Howard Davidson of Rutland, Mrs. Napoleon Pietryka of Bennington, Mrs. Frank Maloney of Waltham, Mass., and Mrs. Robert Nilson of Center Harbor, N.H.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 9 am in St. Bridget's Church in West Rutland. Burial will be in St. Jerome's Cemetery in East Dorset.
The body will be at the Clifford Funeral Home where friends may call today from 7 to 9 pm and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Fund.
