John T Kirtright & Nancy Burkhead were her parents. The information on the Death Certificate was given by William Minor which was inaccurate. Annie S. Kirtright was born to John Troy Kirtright and Nancy Burkhead. Annie first married George W. Burkhead who was the son of Burgess Nelson Burkhead and Martha Eleanor Hankins. George Burkhead was not just Annie Kirtright's 1st husband, they were also 1st cousins. George's father Nelson was the brother of Annie's mother Nancy. George and Annie married in 1872. George died in 1915 and sometime after 1920, Annie married Thomas C. Raymer. That is why the name that is remembered for her in much of the family was Annie Raymer. Records indicate that all of the children born to Annie, Nancy Ellen “Ella”; Everett Roy; and Pearl Edith were fathered by George W. Burkhead. The interesting thing is that the Raymers are mixed in at the generational level of Abraham and Anna Burkhead as well. It is a ball of twine that we are attempting to unravel.
