He was born September 10, 1916 in Saline County to Henry and Tena Boden.
He is survived by his wife, Lois; son and daughter-in-law, Arlen and Emmy Boden of Crete; grandchildren, Roxanne and Steve Burns, Guy and Brenda Boden, Scott and Michelle Boden; stepgrandchildren, Scott and Jamie Bruening, Michael Bruening, Todd and Tracey Crome; 23 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Dorothy Boden; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Albert; sisters, Eleanor McIlnay and LaRene Snyder; son, Howard; great-grandson, Charlie Boden.
Funeral services were held October 30 at Kuncl Funeral Home with Pastor Einar Greenholt officiating and Dan Cillessen assisting. Interment was at Riverside Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ron Elmshouser, Scott Boden, Guy Boden, Steve Burns, Dustin Burns, and Jason Clark. Honorary pallbearers were Jim Clark and Michael Bruening.
