Marvin Carroll Osborne, 77, of Danville died on June 24, 2009 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Mr. Osborne was born in Pittsylvania County on June 14, 1932 the son of the late Henry Wade Osborne and the late Alease Adkins Osborne. He was a graduate of the former Climax High School, class of 1950. He worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company for 29 years as an inspector before his retirement. On June 12, 1952 Mr. Osborne married Jane Herndon Osborne who survives. Mr. Osborne is also survived by two sons, Marvin L. Osborne and Dwight D. Osborne; one brother, Abe Osborne; two sisters, Thelma O. Pippin and Mazie O. Beckham; and three grandchildren. Mr. Osborne was predeceased in death by one brother, Archie Osborne; and three sisters, Alma O. Johnson, Hazel O. Hearl, and Jean O. Godfrey. Interment will be in Highland Burial Park.
