Mrs. Lula (Billie) H. Hawkins, age 89 of Dalton, Georgia went home to be with the Lord Friday evening, January 4, 2013 . Lula was born on January 11, 1923 in Dalton. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Lula was preceded in death by her husband, John Hawkins; parents, Joel and Emma Higgins; and her brothers and sisters.
Lula is survived by her daughter and son in law, Aileen and Jerry Stephenson, of Dalton; grandchildren, Alan and Kim Stepnenson, Trina and Jeff Seibenhener, Gary and Vicky Stephenson, Kim Stephenson, and Vicky Stephenson; great grandchildren, Courtney and Seth Harrison, Richey Boyd, Matthew Boyd, Alyssa Bartlett, Zachary Davis, Ashley Seibenhener, Justin Seibenhener, and Macy Stephenson; great great grandchildren, Rileigh Morgan, Chase Jones, Kaidence Bartlett, Adaleigh Bartlett.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Lula (Billie) Hawkins will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, January 6, 2013 at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Kaiser officiating. Interment will be at West Hill Cemetery in Dalton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 to 3:00 PM prior to the funeral service.
