Jay Fred Cunningham, 52, of Chatham, Ill. died Saturday, July 23, 2005, at Memorial Medical Center. He was born March 12, 1953, the son of Jacob and Frances Johns Cunningham in West Virginia. Mr. Cunningham was a computer programmer for Ciber Inc. and worked as a consultant for the State of Illinois in several departments over the years. He was also a member of the Berean Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Johns Cunningham.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 26, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Staab-Polk Memorial Home, 201 S. Main, Chatham, IL 62629. The funeral service will be Tuesday, July 26, at 7 p.m. with Dr. Richard R. Ahlgrim officiating. A graveside service will be 3 p.m. Friday at Goshen Cemetery, Kentuck.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Berean Baptist Church, 3401 S. 6th Street, Springfield, IL 26703 or the Leukemia Association.
Arrangements are by Parsons-Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, in conjunction with Staab-Polk Memorial Home, Chatham, Ill.
