John retired from the city of Anderson, working for Anderson Power and Light. John previously worked at Nicholson File in Anderson. He enjoyed talking on his CB radio and was known as "Pipe Smoker" to many of his beloved friends.
John is survived by his wife, Rosemary (Cleghorn) Hagerman of Anderson, IN, children; Michelle (Paul) Boner of Anderson, IN, Lydia (Kirby) Hollins of VA, Sabrina (Rick) Pierce of Anderson, John (Vicki) Hagerman Jr. of Lapel, Belinda (Bobby) Trahan of Anderson, Pam (Jeff) Trent of Elwood, Ted (Becky) Reeves of Anderson and a brother Shelby (Alta) Hagerman of KY. John is also survived by his 20 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 2 great great- grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, sister in-law Phyllis Hagerman, and special friends Gary and Rosemary Reagan.
He was preceded in death by his father; Charlie Hagerman, his mother Cosby Hagerman, and eight brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Tuesday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St.
Services will be at 1:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor James Boicourt officiating.
Burial will take place at East Maplewood Cemetery.
