Charles “Red” O. Bailey, 83, of Onarga passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka.

Red was born December 11, 1931 in Onarga, the son of Charles F. and Edith Scott Bailey and they preceded him in death in addition to two brothers, Paul and Gene; one sister, Irene Faye Bailey; and one son-in-law, Robin Harroun. He married Alice Norvell on January 21, 1951 in Thawville and she survives. Also surviving are one son, James Bailey of Onarga; four daughters, Susan Bailey of Onarga, Peggy Harroun of Onarga, Mary (Pat) Harroun of Onarga and Penny (Bob) Weidenburner of Westville; three brothers, Dale “Jasper” (Diane) Bailey of Onarga, Harvey (Sandy) Bailey of Peoria, AZ and Richard (Marlene) Bailey of Sidoris; two sisters, Eileen (Art) Hovick of Arlington and Wendy (Richard) Harms of Roberts; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Mr. Bailey was a member of the Onarga Christian Church. He served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict, worked for Rocket Supply in Roberts for 22 years and enjoyed gardening.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at the Knapp Funeral Home in Onarga. Rev. Neil Larimore will officiate. Burial will be in the Ridgeland Twp. Cemetery in Thawville.

Memorials may be made to the Onarga Christian Church.
