Pastor Danny K. Sims, 58, went home to be with our Lord Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Central Mississippi Medical Center.
Funeral services are 2:00pm Saturday, December 22, 2012 at New Life Christian Fellowship in Pearl with interment in Lakewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
He was a native of Greenville and lived most of his early life in Clinton. He was born again at the age of 14, and surrendered to preach in 1981. He served as the associate pastor for Word of Life church prior to founding the New Life Christian Fellowship church in Pearl in 1995.
He was preceded in death by his father, Hal K. Sims, and brother, Pastor Ronnie Sims.
Survivors include his mother, Lexie Sims; wife, Karen Sims; son, Sean Sims (Candy); daughters, Erica Freeze (Kyle), Kimberly Sims and Ashley Sims; nephew, Pastor Joel Sims (Peppi); and niece, Hope Lamberson (Ryan).
