Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, received Sandra's soul on August 18, 2012. Born in Maddock, North Dakota on October 6, 1962. Sandra is preceded in death by her father Steve, and survived by her loving husband Bob, daughters Nicole and Destinee; sons Robert and Brooks; mother Loretta; sisters Cheryl, Virginia, Jackie, Cindy, Debi, Bonnie, Geri, and Tammy; brothers Jim, Stan, Vern, Jeff, Steve, and Todd as well as eleven nieces and nephews. Sandra lived a life of faith and service, notably as a member of The Gathering, and a Specialist in the United States Army. Although she was a private and humble person, Sandra touched many with her selfless acts of kindness and generosity. We will honor Sandra's legacy at a memorial service Thursday, August 23, at 11:00 AM in the Stone Chapel at Woodmen Valley Chapel, 280 E. Woodmen Road in Colorado Springs. She will be buried in a private service at Fort Logan, Colorado on Friday. Sandra asked that contributions in lieu of flowers be made to the Sandra Burgess Memorial Fund in care of the First National Bank of Monument, 625 Highway 105, PO Box 2009, Monument, CO 80132.
