Marilyn Raye Norris, 65, passed away April 18, 2011, at Mercy Hospital in Knoxville. Born June 18, 1945, she was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Maxine Lewallen Moore; and her husband, Esco Norris. She was a born again Christian, and a member of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her children: Paul Norris and wife, Karen, of Powell, and Veronda Flint of Oneida; four grandchildren, special aunts, Wanda Qualman and Mildred Sexton; special cousin and friend, Diane Lane; sister-in-law, Mary Newport; and many other relatives. Funeral service was conducted April 21, in the chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home-Oneida with Bro. Roger Cecil and Bro. Jamie Duvall officiating. Music was provided by Crystal Boyatt. Graveside service was conducted April 22, at Daniel Memorial Cemetery. Four Oaks Funeral Home-Oneida had charge of arrangements. (Source: The Independent Herald, 28 Apr 2011, pA5)
