Lacy Thomas, 82, of Hannibal, MO, died at 7:00 AM Monday, December 17, 2012 at Willow Care Center in Hannibal.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Rev. Tim Goodman will officiate.

Burial will be at Salem Cemetery in Rural Center, MO.

Visitation will be from 10:00 Am until the time of services Wednesday at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.

Mr. Thomas was born September 23, 1930, in Swanwick, Illinois to Albert and Lola Hillyard Thomas.

He was married to May Jean Carman on December 24, 1947 in Nashville, Illinois. She survives.

Other survivors include 6 children, Jim Thomas (Heide), Jean Powell (Jim), Bucky Thomas (Sheree), Theresa Egbert (Ron), Dan Thomas (Sue), Becky Tucker (Ken),1 son in law; Jim Sheffield, 1 Brother, Dwight Thomas of Ironton, MO, 1 Sister, Nadine Van Sant of Arkansas, 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, 1 daughter; Mary Sheffield, 4 brothers; Howard, Billy, Clinton and Carl Thomas and 1 grandson; Kyle Thomas.

Mr. Thomas worked as a welder. He liked rabbit hunting, trout fishing, reading and gardening. He also enjoyed camping and being outdoors. He liked watching sports and especially liked football and baseball. He enjoyed mechanics and tinkering. Mr. Thomas was a Baptist by faith.

Pallbearers will be Perry Thomas, Sean Thomas, Jason Sheffield, Brandon Pemberton, Brian Egbert, and Jeff Thomas.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Sheffield, Jim Powell, Ron Egbert, and Ken Tucker.
