Funeral service for Jacob "Jake" Lester Young, 83 of Enid will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 5, 2013 in the Ladusau-Evans Chapel. Rev. David Shaw and Mr. Jim LeForce will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Jake was born March 29, 1929 in Carmen, OK to Dave and Elizabeth Young and passed away on January 2, 2013 in the St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. He joined the United States Army 307 Military Police Battalion in November of 1952 and received an honorable discharge in Nov 1954. Jake married Verda Robinson in 1953 in San Antonio. He farmed 50 years in the Carmen area and worked for Helena Crabtree Correctional Center for 26 years.



Preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Fritz Young and sister, Katherine Frech.
