LAMAR-Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Daniel Funeral Home for Clarence Eugene Carter, 80, Lamar, who died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, after a short illness. Burial will follow at Lake Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Monday from 1 p.m. until service time, at the funeral home.

Survivors include five sons, Windall and Julie Carter, Lamar, Rick and Marilyn Carter, Omaha, Neb., Allen Carter, Lamar, David and Lillie Carter, Lamar, and Mike Carter, California; a daughter, Debbie Taffner, Nixa; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Carter was born Feb. 16, 1932, in Nebraska, to Frank and Sarah Carter. He worked as a woodcutter.
He married Janelle Irene Bell and she preceded him in death.
