Professional Hockey Player. Also known as 'Rosie.' A native of St. Boniface, Manitoba, Couture played for teams in the NHL, AHA, CAHL, IHL, MJHL, MHL-Sr., and the Al-Cup hockey leagues. At 5'11", and 164 lbs, Couture played the posiition of Right Wing for the St. Boniface Canadiens from 1922 to 1923, Winnipeg Argonauts from 1923 to 1926, Winnipegs from 1926 to 1927, Winnipeg Maroons from 1927 to 1928, Chicago Blackhawks from 1928 to 1935, London Tecumsehs from 1935 to 1936, Providence Reds from 1935 to 1936, and the Montreal Canadiens from 1935 to 1936. After retiring from hockey Couture worked for the CNR in Winnipeg Manitoba. Couture died in St. Boniface, Manitoba, on March 1, 1986, at the age of 80.
