Phillip H. Fowler -- Dayton, March 17 [Special] Funeral services were held Monday, at Hopewell United Brethren church for Phillip Henry Fowler, 83, of Wheatland, who died in Salem, March 11.
Mr. Fowler was born in Missouri, February 6, 1860 and came overland by ox team to the Chehalem valley near Newberg in 1864 and to Wheatland in 1870.
Surviving him are one son, Harry Fowler of Salem; daughter, Mrs. Al Reed of Myrtle Point.
