MONT1CELLO — Ada Crowell, 93, of 1008 Allen St., died at 9:45 a.m. Saturday in Delphi Nursing Home, where she had resided the last 31 years.
She was born in Carroll County Oct. 8, 1892, to Erastus and June C. Dimmitt Scott. She was married Dec. 20, 1911, to Ed Crowell, who died in 1964.
Surviving are two grandchildren, Suzanne Weaver, Monticello, and Nancy Dedinsky, Whiting; and six great-grandchildren. A son and two brothers preceded in death.
She was a member of the Hickory Grove United Church of Christ and had resided in Carroll County all her life until 1979, when she moved to Monticello.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Miller-Voorhis Funeral Home, with the Rev. Herma Fisher officiating. Burial will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home.
