Clara Schroeder
Clara J. Schroeder, 83, of 604 E. Washington St., Mount Pleasant, died at 3:54 p.m. on Sunday, May 8, 1994, at the Henry County Health Center.
She was born June 12, 1910, at Burlington, the daughter of Andrew and Mary Morrison Koett. On Jan. 22, 1938, at Kahoka, Mo., she married Erwin J. Schroeder. He died Jan. 23, 1981.
She was a homemaker and member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Hoffman of Claremont, Calif.; a son, John Schroeder of Mount Pleasant; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, six sisters and a granddaughter.
Visitation will begin at noon Wednesday, with the family receiving friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant.
The funeral for Mrs. Schroeder will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Deb Kiesey and Wayne Kamm officiating. Burial will be in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for the Arthritis Foundation.
