Ernestine Rogers, 85, of Princeton, died Monday, Jan. 4, 2010, at 5 a.m. at Princeton Health and Rehab Center, following a short illness.
A caregiver and member of Northside Baptist Church, she was born Dec. 27, 1924, in Caldwell County, a daughter of the late B.J. and Kitty Wood Rogers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lucian Carl Rogers.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, William Carl and Lisa Rogers of Cadiz; three daughters and two sons-n-law, Merita and Paul Bumpas of Madisonville, Theresa Rennison of Fredonia, and Carol and Mike Hampton of Princeton; two stepdaughters, Irene Cartwright of Caldwell County and Glenda Adams of Hobart, Ind.; five grandchildren, Debbie Frisch, Misty Stallins, Michael Hampton, Gillian Rogers and Amanda Rogers; five great-grandchildren, Ryan Frisch, Lainey Frisch, Blake Stallins, Illysa Stallins and Maddux Morris; seven step-grandchildren, 14 step-great-grandchildren; and four step-great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Jan. 6, at 2:30 p.m. at Morgan's Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Tommy Tackett officiating, assisted by the Rev. Willard Walls.
Burial will follow in Rogers Cemetery in Christian County.
