William Thomas Clegg, 86, of Vienna passed away Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009, at St. Joseph's Hospital.

He was born in Vienna, a son of the late Hod and Mary Rue Canary Clegg. He retired from Elkem Metals, was active with the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department as a fireman for many years, served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of Wayside United Methodist Church.

He is survived by one daughter, April Fry of Vienna; one son, Thomas Clegg (Patti) of Plymouth, Wis; one brother, Bernard Clegg of Vienna; four granddaughters, Aubri Tuttle (Cameron), Sarah Mannix (Matt), Britta Green (Wes) and Lauren Clegg; and two great-granddaughters, Hannah and Emilie Tuttle.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Clegg in 2006; four brothers; and three sisters.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wayside United Methodist Church in Vienna with the Rev. Dr. Patrick Kerr officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
