WEST DECATUR -- Chester Husted, 63, of West Decatur died yesterday at 1:55 a.m. in the Clearfield Hospital following an extended illness.
Mr. Husted was a former Boggs Township justice of the peace and supervisor and was a retired employee of the General Refractories Co.
A son of George and Cora (McCartney) Husted, he was born at West Decatur April 14, 1906. He was married to Leona Dickson at Philipsburg in 1933.
Four children survive: Clayton, Philipsburg; Nelson, Philipsburg; Spencer, West Decatur; and Dorcas, Elizabeth, N.J. He is also survived by two stepchildren, Mrs. Robert (Winona) Eckley of Philipsburg and Brinton Dickson of West Decatur.
Thirteen grandchildren and these brothers and sisters survive: Harry and Mrs. Earl (Hazel) Test, Philipsburg; Howard, Bloomfield, N.J.; Eugene and Mrs. Russell (Helen) Beish, Wallaceton and Mrs. Russell (Ethel) Morrison, Folcroft.
He was preceded in death by one brother.
Friends will be received in the Dahlgren Funeral Home at Philipsburg today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Edward D. Dixon officiating. Interment will be in the Philipsburg Cemetery.
