Mr. Davidson, 82, of Alexandria passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at his home in Alexandria in the loving care of his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dallas C. Davidson and Myra Pardue, and his sister, Bonna J. Brown.
Left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 57 years, Evelyn Clary Davidson; five daughters, Davoda Bollinger (Michael), Lavora Phillips (Randy), Kristyl Gray Antony, Marilyn Millet (Terry), and Kendra "Novie" Davidson; grandchildren, Chad Constance, Travis Constance (Carrie), Brittainy Gray Wilks (Brad), Alexa Bollinger, Cody Gray, Bailey Antony, Grant Millet, T.J. Millet, Jr. (Kylie), Blake Millet (Nina), Candice Pittman (Austin); his sister's daughters, Jennifer Brown Knicely and Meredith Brown Brady. Additionally, Mr. Davidson is survived by eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Davidson was born in Athens, Louisiana on February 1,1930 and spent most of his formative years in Jonesboro, Louisiana before enlisting with the Louisiana National Guard at the age of seventeen. In 1949, he joined the United States Air Force. While in service, Mr. Davidson completed tours of duty in Libya and Vietnam and was awarded the Bronze Star. After 26 years of service, Mr. Davidson retired with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. He then built a successful rental property business and pursued his lifelong dream of raising cattle on his farm near Cloutierville until his health failed. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Chad Constance, Travis Constance, Cody Gray, Grant Millet, T.J. Millet, Jr. and Brad Wilks. Special thanks to Dr. Liu, Dr. Khambatti, Dr. Menache, St. Joseph's Hospice, Cenla Home Health, Clarissa Pryor, Joann Gilmer and Jane Heath for their compassionate care of our loved one.
