Deborah Rowe, HICKORY, NC - Deborah Marvina Pennington Rowe, 58, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Frye Regional medical center. Deborah was born Nov. 2, 1953 in Iredell County to Teresa Phillips Houston and the late Reeves Junior Penning-ton. Also preceding her in death are two sisters, Mitzi Nix and Judy Pennington. She was a member of Bright Light Tabernacle church and had worked in the furniture industry. Surviving is her husband, Virl Steve Rowe of the home; her daughters, Tamara Day and her husband, Sam Slape of Hickory, Ronda Kelly and her husband, Lee of Conover and Stefanie Bowman of Hickory; seven grand-children; her mother, Theresa Houston and her husband, James of Hickory; her sisters, Sheila Minton and her husband, Sydney of Icard and Patsy Smith and her husband, Willard of Lenoir; and her brother, Randy Pennington and his wife, Kim of Conover. Services will be Sunday, April 1, at 3 p.m. at Bright Light Tabernacle with the Rev. Ray York officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m. at the church. Memorials may be made to Bright Light Tabernacle Church, 2777 Highland Ave. NE, Hickory, NC 28601.
