She was born in Scammon, Kan., on Aug. 7, 1921, to John and Ruth Moreland Quinn. Her young years were spent growing up in Colorado.
She married Glenn J. Chapman on Feb. 8, 1941, at Oak Creek, Colo., and together they moved to Oregon, where she remained the remainder of her life. They raised three children together.
She held many jobs during her working years and was active in several organizations until the last few months. She was a member of Eastern Star, Nile Club, Daughters of the American Revolution, Red Hat Society, and also First Christian Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, siblings, and one great-granddaughter.
Survivors include her daughters Glenda Zalunardo (Ray) and Rosemary Guitierez, son Dennis Chapman (Nancy), five grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was a creative person, always involved in crafts, such as sewing, painting, and knitting, in addition to her enjoyment of playing the piano. Her interest and love of travel took her to many places on the globe, including China, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand, which left her with many fond memories.
