Eliza E Biddlecome Hayes was born 9 October 1844, in Cass County, Illinois to John Biddlecome and Elizabeth Cauby. She married William Henry Hayes on 20 September 1864 in Cass County, Illinois.

Eliza Hayes – Death Records, Book 1 for Fremont County says the place of burial is Imogene, Iowa. It doesn't say which cemetery. Her obituary also doesn't say. It is therefore deduced that she is buried next to her husband in the Monroe Township Cemetery.

Shenandoah Sentinal, 28 November 1933"Mrs. Eliza Hayes Dies – Mrs. Eliza Hayes, aged Imogene resident, died Monday according to word received here today by relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Methodist church in Imogene."

Shenandoah Sentinal, 5 December 1933, page 3, Imogene News – "The funeral services for Mrs. Eliza Hayes who died at 11:45 Monday morning was held at one o'clock from the Methodist church Thursday. The funeral sermon was preached by Rev. O. F. Howard and the music was furnished by a ladies quartet composed of Mrs. A. E. Addy, Mrs. Jake Bussard, Mrs. Wendell Stuelke and Mrs. Harry Comstock with Miss Anna Maude Abbott at the piano. The pall bearers were Clyde Addy, Roy Trenholm, Roy Barules, Tom Woods, Frank Miller and Wilbur Priest. Mrs. Hayes was past 89 years old and had been bedfast for a long time. She was survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ida Hilliary and three sons, West, and Frank of Imogene, and Bud Hayes of Griswold, Iowa."
