"Mrs. Margaret Boatman, about 82 years of age, passed away yesterday (Thursday) afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ralph Carbaugh, Brookston, Ind.
She is the mother of Mrs. W.H. Grubbs of Mt. Pleasant Ridge and an aunt of Mrs. J.L. Sykes and Miss Ada Nowlin of this city.
Interment in the Gibson Cemetery at Bright."

Mrs. Margaret Boatman, daughter of Robert and Mary Grames, was born at Logan, Indiana March 12, 1853 and passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ralph Carbaugh, Brookston, Ind., March 7, 1935 at the age of 81 years, 11 months, 24 days.
She was the oldest of a family of eight children which have all preceded her in death.
She was united in marriage to Mark A. Boatman, July 4, 1876. He departed this life May 10, 1908.
To this union was born six children, Mrs. Minnie Shank, Covington, Ky.; Mrs. Nora E. Grubbs, Lawrenceburg; Roscoe C. Boatman, Sheldon, Ill.; Carl M. Boatman, Hampden, N. Dak.; Mrs. Grace Carbaugh, Brookston, Ind.
George Clinton passed away at the age of 18 months.
She was united with the M.E. church in Logan, Ind., at the age of 12 years and was faithful to the end.
She leaves to mourn her loss, the three daughters, two sons, ten grandchildren, besides a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at Mt. Pleasant church Sunday at 2 p.m. Re. Hettrick officiating. The reamins laid to rest in Bright cemetery. Moon and Schopmeyer in charge.
