Mr. Daniel Paul Saylor, 51, of Emmitsburg died Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of LaDonna Kay Eyler Saylor, whom he married August 1988.
Born September 3, 1960 in Frederick he was a son of Erma Grossnickle Saylor of Frederick and the late Hall Emory "Bud" Saylor.
Mr. Saylor worked as a truck driver for Harlan, Sprague, and Dawley, Co. He liked to play Yahtzee and Solitaire; he enjoyed gardening; and he especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Surviving besides his mother in Frederick and his wife at home are two children, Shane Daniel Saylor and ShaLeigh Danielle Saylor, both at home; a sister, Teresa Saylor of Frederick; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bill and Theresa Eyler; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Darren and Susan Eyler; a niece, Tori Eyler; and a nephew, Dillon Eyler, all of Thurmont. He will also be remembered by his dog, Blizzard.
Mr. Saylor is at the Robert E. Dailey & Son Funeral Homes, P.A., 615 East Main Street, Thurmont, where the family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Friday, December 2.
Graveside services and interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 3 at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick with Rev. Dr. Carroll A. Doggett, Jr. officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Mr. Saylor's name to the funeral home to help to defray funeral costs.
