Rose Elizabeth Meiners Helmers was born July 23, 1884 in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio to Herman Heinrich Meiners and his third wife, Elizabeth Mary Kreke Meiners. She was her mother's seventh-born child. She married Harry John Helmers on June 9, 1909, and they had four children: Marcella Elizabeth Helmers Steinbicker, Ruth Dymphna Helmers Bludau, Henry Herman Helmers, and Leonard John Helmers. She died at age 73 on January 21, 1958 in Cincinnati and is buried at Saint Joseph Cemetery in Cincinnati next to her husband. Her heritage was German.
