BEE, Va. Euna Edwards Hay, age 94, of Sandlick Road, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at Norton Community Hospital in Norton, Va. Born in Dickenson County, Va., she was a daughter of the late David W. and Alice Wright Edwards and last grandchild of A.J. Edwards. She was a homemaker and was of the Primitive Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Milford O'quinn; second husband, Silas Hay; a daughter, Betty Fletcher; a son Bobby O'quinn; a daughter-in-law, Linda Hay; a son-in-law, J.C. Fletcher; brothers, Carl, Arthur, Hadley, Martin and Cecil; and sisters, Flora Owens, Verna Anderson, Eura Edwards and Bonnie Duty. Survivors include four sons, James O'quinn, Darrell (Jean) O'quinn, Gary Hay, all of Bee, and Charles Hay of Haysi; 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and special caregivers, Sandy and Phillip Owens. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at Haysi Funeral Home, with Jim O'quinn, Price Viers and Jim Duty officiating. Burial will follow in A.J. Edwards Cemetery, Rakes Ridge, Va. Grandsons, Kenny Hay, Shane O'quinn, Brian and Kevin O'quinn, Natasha Viers and Christy Johnson will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Haysi Kiwanis Club. The family will receive friends after 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at the funeral home, with an evening service at 7 p.m., with Roger Rose, Joe Edwards and Garnell Gilbert officiating.
