Wayman contracted Tuberculosis around 1930. He was the third person in his immediately family to do so. This disease also took the life of his sister, Ina Mae and Father, Joshua. After a three yesr struggle, spending much time in the TB Sanatorium in Sanatorium, Texas,Wayman died at the age of 19.
