Mojave Teacher Services Mar. 15

Services for Pearl Black, 65, a teacher at Joshua Elementary School in Mojave, have been set for Monday, March 15, 1971.
Mrs. Black made her home at 16600 Del Norte Dr., Mojave. She was born June 9, 1905, in Newhall, .Arkansas, and passed away March 10, 1971.
She had taught the second grade at Joshua Elementary since 1967. She had also taught for two years at Mojave Elementary, and one year at Red Rock. Her experience included 12 years of teaching outside of Califoruia, 9 years in Fresno, and 7 years in Rosamond. She first came to Mojave in 1964. She was a member of the Mojave Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by her husband Freeland N. Black, at the home, and a brother in Arkansas.
The 10:00 a.m. service will be conducted at the Church of the Nazarene, 15991 0 St., Mojave, by the Rev. Carl W. Lytel. Arrangements are being handled by the Stickel's Mortuary, Mojave. Interment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Bakersfield.

Further Info On Pearl Black

During the reporting in last weeks paper of the passing of Pearl Black, a second grade teacher at Joshua Elementary School, some information was not available at press time, and some last minute changes were made.
Mrs. Black passed away March 10, 1971, and her final services were held on March 15, 1971, at the Assembly of
God Church. Rev. Carl Lytle of the Church of the Nazarene conducted the services.
Mrs. Black is survived by her husband, Freeland N. Black, at the home; two brothers, Dero W. Abbott and Floyd Abbott, both of Poteau, Okla.; and three sisters, Sudie Bull, Cameron; Okla., Daisy Miller, Halfway, Missouri, and Ora Stewart, LaHabra, Calif.
