MOSES KNAPPENBERGER
While eating an apple at noon Thursday, Moses Knappenberger of near Jeannette, fell from his chair and expired. He was one of the wealthiest citizens of Westmoreland county, and formerly owned a greater part of the ground on which Jeannette now stands. When gas was struck in the Grapeville belt he succeeded in amassing a comfortable fortune by disposing of his farm. He was 72 years old and leaves a wife and four children, D.T., George W. and Henry of Jeannette and Mrs. Mary Cope of Allegheny. Funeral Saturday at 1 o'clock. Interment at Brush Creek.
