Mr. Irving Doyle Dixon, 67, of Rockville, formerly of Dickerson, died Monday, May 21, at Bethesda Naval Hospital in Bethesda. He was the husband of Irene F. Dixon.
Mr. Dixon was a retired U.S. Army master sergeant, having served in World War II and the Korean War.
Surviving besides his wife are three sons, Lawrence "Boh" Dixon of Mount Airy, and Robert Dixon and Paul Dixon, both of Rockville; three daughters, Della Cleveland of Poolesville, Patricia Mullens of Rockville, and Donna Riley of Clarksburg; and eight grandchildren, Thomas, Nancy and Amanda Cleveland, all of Poolesville, Joanne Dixon and Matthew Mullens, both of Rockville, Richard and David Riley, both of Clarksburg, and Brandon Dixon of Mount Airy.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, May 24, and Friday, May 25, at the Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road, Barnesville. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 26, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville.
