Mr. Shaffer has had many years of ill health but through it all, he was a very loving, patient and kind husband and father. He always had time to be a helpful neighbor and will be sadly missed by his neighbors and friends.

During his last illness, he gave his testimony of accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his loving wife, Nora Jane Shaffer of the home, his daughter, Helen De Santis of Downey, California, one son, James Shaffer of Guymon, three grandchildren, Rhonda Rogers of Compton, California, Calvin Jones with the U.S. Air Force, Jane Ann Shaffer of Guymon and one niece, Myra Rinker of Louisville, Kentucky.
