Mass will be held Friday, October 19, 2012 at St. Margaret Mary Church at 10:30 a.m.

Visitation will precede mass at Frye Chapel and Mortuary between 9 and10 a.m.

Steve Garcia, 85, was born on December 26, 1926 in Brawley, CA.

He served in WWII for the United States Army in 1945 where he received a Victory Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and Army of Occupation Medal.

Following his honorable discharge he was employed by Gibson Construction for 25 years.

He married Rosalina Garcia on January 18, 1953 in El Centro, CA.

In his 85 years of life he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather where he instilled faith, morals and values in his children and grandchildren.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Librada Garcia, his sisters, Luisa, Angela, Frances, and his brother, Juan.

He is survived by his wife, Rosalina Garcia of Brawley, sons, Steve Jr., Ruben, Frank, and Fernie all of Brawley, Bobby of Salinas, and his daughters, Kindy, Patricia, Mary-Ann and Rosie all of Brawley. He is also survived by his sisters, Maggie, Rosa, and brother, Rudy, all of Oxnard, CA.
