Don died on May 12, 1973 in a drowning accident. He and some friends had been on a picnic when they decided to go swimming In Lake Hawkins. He apparently developed cramps from hypothermia. He was a sophomore at Ambassador College in Big Sandy, Texas. He was the only son of Harry Neil Wolcott and Barbara (Meike) Wolcott of Douglas, Wyoming. He was survived by both his parents, and his 3 sisters, Kathy, Karen and Lisa.
