Bill Gordon, 85, was born and raised in Brawley, CA. He attended local elementary and high schools.
After graduating from high school, he joined the Navy.
He married his wife, Gene, on June 22, 1957, at St. Mary's in San Diego. They were married for 55 years. They raised three daughters.
After the Navy he attended art school. Later he went into the Aeronautic and Engineering Field.
Bill died of natural causes.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, December 14, at Frye Chapel and Mortuary at 1:00 p.m.
Pastor Ted Koroluk will officiate.
Bill is preceded in death by his wife, Genie, his son, Michael, and his great-granddaughter, Tayler Marie.
He also is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Adele Gordon.
Survivors include his daughters, Karen Laughrin (Dan) of Brawley, CA., Debbie Poblano (Tom) of Kona, Hawaii, and Shelly De La Cruz (Mario) of San Jose, CA., his grandchildren, Jennifer Poblano, Joni Santana (Alfonso), and Scott and Kellie Wojnowski, plus his great-grandchildren, Dru, Jordin and Brady Santana.
