Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Daniel and the late Florence (nee Jennings) Harley.
Dan was a long time resident of Ridley Twp. until recently moving to Prospect Park. He served during the Korean war in the US Army.
He was a retired house painter, employed by John H. Benner, Co. He was an Indy car enthusiast and an avid gardener.
Dan was pre-deceased by his son Daniel Jay Harley.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years Marcella (nee Clardy) Harley; five daughters: Barbara Catona, Gerry McIntire, Anita (Walter) Armstead, Karen Harley, Linda (Michael) Gray; a sister, Marie Moore; 5 grandchildren, Caroline Sappington, Jeffrey Catona, Jonathan Hennessy, Timothy Armstead and Brian Hennessy; 2 great-grandchildren, Anthony and Nicholas Catona.
Funeral service: Saturday 10:30 a.m. at Kevin M. Lyons Funeral Service, 202 S. Chester Pike, Glenolden.
Visitation: Saturday from 9-10:30 a.m. at Kevin M. Lyons Funeral Service.
Burial; Lawncroft Cemetery, Linwood.
