Robert Alvin Pike, 71, Columbia, KY, died Thursday, November 20, 2008, at 9:32 p.m., at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.

He was a son of he late Elzie and Lola Caldwell Pike and was a member of the Columbia church of Christ. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Bybee Pike, on June 8, 2001, and by a brother, Randall Pike, and by four grandchildren.

He is survived by the following:
Three sons: Lonnie and Chuck Pike, both of North Vernon, IN; and Michael Pike, Danville, KY; four daughters: Virginia Alley, Ft. Worth, TX, Patricia Barbour, Slater, Iowa, Pamela Miller, Columbia, KY, Barbara Covington, Ft. Worth, TX; three sisters: Geraldine Price, Clarksville, IN; Shirley Isaac, Panama City, FL; and Joyce Cox, Elizabethtown, IN; 16 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren also survive.

The funeral service was held on Monday, November 24, at 10:00 a.m., at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Dean Roach officiating.

Burial was in New Hope Cemetery.
Casket Bearers were: Kevin Alley, James Judd, Johnny Fowler, Mel Overby, Dan McClintock, and Billy Bybee.
Grissom-Martin Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.
